Phlebotomist PRNLast year our HCA Healthcare colleagues invested over 156,000 hours volunteering in our communities. As a Phlebotomist PRN with Menorah Medical Center you can be a part of an organization that is devoted to giving back!The Laboratory Phlebotomist performs collections of blood samples and specimens efficiently and appropriately following hospital and department standards and policies. Under the supervision of a Medical Technologist, the Phlebotomist may also performs routine technical functions, CLIA waived analyses and quality control. Join our team where your commitment to service, safety and professionalism will contribute to a positive patient experience.What you will do in this role:Greet patients and instruct them in proper specimen collection methods.Draw blood specimens from patients by using finger sticks, heel sticks or venipuncture and collect other specimens as required.Label specimens for identification purposes accurately and enter specimen data into the computer.Prepare samples for microbiology, hematology, serology, blood bank, and urinalysis departments.Assist with clerical duties by answering telephone calls.What qualifications will you need:Graduate of Phlebotomy Course/Program required.Phlebotomy certification highly preferred, but can obtain once hired.One year of experience needed highly preferred.Minimum 8-10 sticks per hour.Must have open availability for weekends for PRN.Hospital experience is highly preferred.Looking for trainable candidates with good experience and the ability to work as a team.Six months computer keyboarding or equivalent preferred.Menorah Medical Center, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
