Phlebotomist Position at Functional Medicine of IdahoWe are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist to join our team at Functional Medicine of Idaho in Meridian, ID. This position requires a skilled phlebotomist with strong venipuncture experience and a proven ability to work confidently with patients of all ages, including pediatrics.Pay: Starting at $19/hour, with opportunities for advancement based on experience and performance.Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8AM–4:30PM, with a one-hour lunch break.Benefits:Medical, Dental, Vision with In-Network & Custom Network discounts401(k) with discretionary employer matchPaid Time OffFree clinical diagnostic laboratory testing performed in houseIn This Role, You Will Be Responsible For:Administrative duties: Providing excellent customer service, answering phones, and monitoring for instrumentation alarms.Technical responsibilities: Performing venipuncture for blood collection, obtaining additional specimen types as required, and preparing all samples for lab testing and screening.Accurate data management: Verifying specimen information, performing data entry, and properly identifying patient information.Specimen handling: Receiving, processing, and packaging samples for referral labs while maintaining specimen integrity.Compliance: Following safety protocols, HIPAA policies, Medicare rules, and participating in quality assurance.Flexibility: Covering work shifts at different sites as needed to ensure smooth operations.Reliability: Maintaining consistent, punctual, and reliable attendance to ensure continuity of operations and support for our team and patients.Education & Certification:High School Diploma or equivalentExperience:Minimum of 1 year of professional phlebotomy experience with pediatric phlebotomy experienceSkills & Competencies:Excellent teamwork and communication skillsPatient-focused, helpful, and proactive approach to supporting patients and coworkersStrong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environmentStrong computer skills and comfort with data entryHigh attention to detail and commitment to quality patient careReliable, dependable, and adaptablePhysical Requirements:Laboratory setting with automated equipment emitting ambient sounds.High level of staff interaction in close quarters; must hear alarms to ensure timely response to safety needs.Regular handling of potentially infectious samples, with required protective gear (lab coat, gloves, goggles, face shield).Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, crawl, twist, and walk on uneven surfaces throughout the day.Frequent bending, extended standing, and lifting up to 30 pounds.Flexibility to work extended hours or overtime as needed.OSHA Category: This role involves exposure to blood, body fluids, and/or tissues, with Hepatitis-B vaccination offered to all performing these duties.About Us: Interpath Laboratory is a family-owned and operated clinical and anatomic pathology laboratory serving communities across Oregon, Washington, Nebraska, and Idaho.
