Job description
Phlebotomy InternUnder management's supervision, the Phlebotomy Intern will have the opportunity to participate and learn about the various duties and responsibilities of a phlebotomist. The intern will have the opportunity to gain a better understanding of healthcare and more specifically patient experience and customer/patient satisfaction through a variety of assignments, such as shadowing staff in the field, learning some specimen handling and receiving skills, attending program meetings and trainings, as well as, a variety of other tasks.- Prefer a willingness to learn.- Prefer demonstrated knowledge of computers and commonly used applications.- Prefer effective customer service skills and demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of staff and the public, both in person and by telephone.HS EQ: High School Diploma, GED or CertificateAs part of Sarasota Memorial Health Care System's commitment to keeping people safe, all individuals providing care to vulnerable populations are required to undergo background screening through The Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
