Phlebotomy Manager (Inpatient)Compensation Salary Range: $85,000 – $120,000 per yearLocation: Boston Area, MA – OnsitePosition SummaryAs the Phlebotomy Manager (Inpatient), you will provide operational leadership and oversight for inpatient phlebotomy services within a leading academic healthcare organization. This role is responsible for managing staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting quality initiatives, and maintaining the highest standards of patient care and safety. Working closely with laboratory, nursing, and medical leadership, you will drive operational excellence, workforce development, and continuous process improvement.ResponsibilitiesSchedule / ShiftShift details: Full-TimeHours per week: 40+Contract length (if applicable): Direct HireKey Duties:Lead and manage inpatient phlebotomy operations and laboratory staff while promoting a culture of quality, safety, and service excellenceEnsure compliance with CAP, The Joint Commission (TJC), CLIA, OSHA, and other applicable regulatory and accreditation requirementsManage staffing, scheduling, productivity, overtime, departmental budgets, and on-call operational supportMonitor quality metrics, incident reporting, accreditation readiness, and corrective action plans to improve performance and patient outcomesOversee recruitment, onboarding, competency assessments, performance management, and professional development of department staffRequirementsEducationRequired: Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related biological science from an accredited institutionPreferred (if applicable): N/ALicenses & CertificationsRequired: N/AAdditional certifications (if applicable): ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, or equivalent laboratory certification preferredSkills:Strong knowledge of laboratory regulatory and accreditation standards, including CAP and The Joint Commission requirementsProven leadership, organizational, problem-solving, and team development skillsExperience managing laboratory operations, quality improvement initiatives, and compliance programsExcellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to partner effectively across multidisciplinary teamsAbout UsRCM Healthcare Services works with professionals across schools, healthcare, and community-based settings nationwide.
