Job description
Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Lakeview is a 40-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital dedicated to helping patients recover independence after stroke, neurological injury, orthopedic trauma, and complex medical conditions. We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) physician to join our collaborative, patient-focused medical staff.
This is an excellent opportunity to practice in a well-established inpatient rehabilitation setting with strong therapy and nursing support, predictable scheduling, and the ability to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes.
Position Highlights
Inpatient rehabilitation practice in a 40-bed acute rehab hospital
Manage a diverse caseload including stroke, spinal cord injury, brain injury, orthopedic, and medically complex patients
Interdisciplinary team model with physical, occupational, and speech therapy, nursing, and case management
Daily physician involvement with patients and care teams

Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation care and medical management
Lead and participate in interdisciplinary team conferences
Develop individualized treatment plans to maximize patient functional recovery
Ensure high standards of quality, safety, and patient satisfaction
Collaborate with referring acute care hospitals and community providers
Qualifications
MD or DO with board certification or eligibility in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
Kentucky medical license (or ability to obtain)
Interest in inpatient rehabilitation medicine
Strong communication and team-based care skills
