Why Detroit Detroit delivers an authentically vibrant lifestyle at a cost of living well below the national average, making it one of the Midwest's most compelling cities for physicians planting roots. The city's cultural scene punches well above its weight — from the legendary Motown Museum to a nationally recognized culinary landscape shaped by one of the most diverse communities in the country. Outdoor enthusiasts will love the Detroit Riverwalk, Belle Isle Park, and easy access to the Great Lakes region for hiking, biking, boating, and beyond. Add all four major professional sports franchises and seamless domestic and international travel through Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport, and you have a city that's as easy to live in as it is to love.
