Job description
Experienced Physical Therapist Opportunity
If you're an experienced outpatient Physical Therapist who enjoys patient care but is tired of the corporate side of physical therapy, this may be the opportunity you've been looking for.
A long-established, independently owned South Shore practice is looking for an experienced PT who wants more autonomy, competitive compensation, flexibility, and a place where they can actually see themselves staying long term.
This is not a position where the employer is trying to hire as quickly as possible.
They are looking for the right Physical Therapist — someone who is clinically strong, genuinely enjoys working with patients and coworkers, and wants to become part of an established practice and team.
Why an experienced PT should take a look
$120,000 starting base salary - This is a true base salary for the right experienced Physical Therapist — not an "up to" number dependent on hitting bonus thresholds.
Independent practice — not corporate PT
This is an independently owned practice where leadership is present, accessible, and directly involved in the day-to-day operation of the clinic.
You'll have a voice in the practice and substantially more flexibility than is typically available in a large corporate environment.
Clinical autonomy
This practice hires experienced clinicians because they want them to use their clinical judgment.
There is an expected normal caseload, but therapists are not managed through constant corporate productivity dashboards or pressure to maximize billing metrics.
An established patient base
This opening exists because of both growth and an existing staffing need.
The practice has strong patient demand and is currently turning away patients while waiting for the right clinician.
You are not being hired to build your own caseload from scratch.
A team where people stay
This is a long-established practice with multiple team members who have been there for 10+ years.
They are looking for another clinician who wants that kind of long-term professional home.
What does the patient schedule look like?
This is not a strictly one-patient-at-a-time treatment model. Patients may overlap during their treatment sessions.
Candidates are given a clear picture of the clinical model before interviewing so they can decide whether it fits the way they like to practice.
Schedule - Full-time is 40 paid hours per week.
Schedules are not treated as one-size-fits-all. The employer is willing to work with the right clinician whenever reasonably possible.
Who they're looking for - This position is designed for an experienced Physical Therapist, not a new graduate.
You may be a strong fit if you:
Have several years of Physical Therapy experience
Have meaningful and relatively recent outpatient orthopedic experience
Are comfortable with orthopedic and manual therapy-based care
Enjoy treating a broad outpatient patient population
Want clinical autonomy
Prefer an independently owned practice over a large corporate system
Are collaborative and enjoy being part of a close-knit team
Want to establish yourself with one practice for the long term
Live on, or want to build your career on, the South Shore
And just as importantly, they are looking for someone who is kind, approachable and enjoyable to work with.
Clinical skill matters. Team fit does too.
Benefits currently include:
$120,000 starting base salary for the right experienced PT
Medical insurance eligibility beginning Day 1
Family medical coverage available
Additional supplemental accident/emergency-type insurance coverage
Approximately 2–3 weeks starting PTO, with flexibility based on experience and candidate priorities
Paid holidays
$1,000 annual continuing education allowance
401(k) eligibility after three months
Long-term disability coverage
Employer-paid professional/malpractice coverage
The practice has flexibility in structuring aspects of the overall package for the right person.
If additional PTO, compensation, benefits, or another part of the package is particularly important to you, the employer would rather have that conversation than assume every clinician values the same things.
Interested? If you're an experienced outpatient PT who has been thinking:
"I still love being a therapist — I just don't love the corporate environment I'm doing it in."
This opportunity may be worth a conversation.
It offers an exceptionally competitive base salary within an established independent practice where clinical judgment, flexibility, relationships and long-term fit still matter.
