Job description
The Gardens at Country located in Swansea, MA has an exciting opportunity available for a Full-time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join their new in-house therapy team!
n $3,000 Sign on BonusnnResponsibilities:
nnnadminister treatment to residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing
n
nnAssure all treatment is delivered in accordance with an established plan of care
n
nnProvide clinical support and instruct patients, families, and caregivers
n
nnMonitor patient response to treatment intervention
n
nnComplete required forms and documentation in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations
n
nnConsulting with patients to learn about their physical condition.
n
nnAssessing and interpreting patient evaluations and test results.
n
nnDeveloping treatment plans using a variety of treatment techniques.
n
nnCreating personalized fitness-oriented health care programs for patients.
n
nnAdministering medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain and improve mobility.
n
nnAdvising patients on exercise techniques.
n
nnAdvising patients and their families about in-home treatment options.
n
nnProviding educational information about injury prevention, ergonomics and ways to promote physical health.
n
nnConsulting and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
n
nnDocumenting patient care history.
n
nnComplying with rules, regulations, and procedures.
n
n nQualifications
nnnGraduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
n
nnCurrent state PTA license in good standing.
n
nnCPR/BLS certification (required).
n
nnPrevious experience in a skilled nursing or subacute rehab setting preferred.
n
nnStrong interpersonal and communication skills.
