Job description
Physical Therapist Assistant
We are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide therapeutic care under the direction and supervision of a Physical Therapist. The PTA will assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and functional activities to support recovery and improve physical function.
Responsibilities:
Provide treatment according to the Physical Therapist's plan of care.
Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and activities.
Provide mobility, gait, balance, and transfer training.
Monitor patient response and progress during treatment.
Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and safe mobility techniques.
Assist with appropriate therapeutic modalities and equipment.
Report changes in patient condition to the Physical Therapist.
Maintain accurate and timely treatment documentation.
Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive treatment environment.
Follow patient safety, infection control, and professional standards.
Qualifications:
Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
Current PTA license or certification in the applicable state.
Previous clinical experience preferred.
Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-care skills.
Ability to work effectively under the direction of a Physical Therapist.
