All while understanding that together we are even better.All the benefits and perks you need for you and your family:Benefits from Day One: Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance, Life Insurance, Disability InsurancePaid Time Off from Day One403-B Retirement Plan4 Weeks 100% Paid Parental LeaveCareer DevelopmentWhole Person Well-being ResourcesMental Health Resources and SupportPet BenefitsSchedule:Full timeShift: Day (United States of America)Address: 151 Victoria Commons BlvdCity: DelandState: FloridaPostal Code: 32724Job DescriptionLocation: 151 Victoria Commons Blvd Ste 107, Deland, FL 32724 but will also be required to float to Orange City, Waterman, New Smyrna Beach, Daytona Beach and Palm Coast.Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pmPractices principles of employee and patient safety during daily job activities.Supports consumer marketing and public awareness through participation in community events, educational lectures, and other extensions of clinical expertise to the community.Implements individualized treatment plans based on physical therapy evaluations and through consideration of practice standards, recommended techniques, insurance guidelines, and patient needs.Modifies treatment plans as necessary based on ongoing assessments in consultation with physical therapist.Collects patient data and communicates with the physical therapists regarding discharge recommendations when maximum benefit has been achieved.Documents patient care accurately, completely, and timely using measurable and objective terminology, following standards of practice, insurance guidelines, and department/hospital policies.Charges patients accurately and timely according to CPT code format, price file, and insurance guidelines.Oversees the care provided by rehabilitation aides according to established regulations and practice standards, and may involve coordinating activities of rehabilitation aides, students, and other support personnel.Evaluates and interprets patient data relative to age-appropriate behavior, motor skills, and physiological norms, modifying approaches and communication skills accordingly.Identifies the need for patient and caregiver education, utilizing opportunities for teaching and documenting understanding as appropriate.Participates in practice changes resulting from performance improvement activities and supports departmental quality standards and initiatives.Maintains clinical competencies through professional development, best practices, and serving as a clinical instructor.Maintains productivity standards as defined by the department and adjusts work hours to meet the needs of the patients as required.Other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Windows, and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.Ability to read, write, and speak conversational English effectively.Ability to communicate effectively in written, verbal, and electronic formatsEducation:Associate's (Required) in Physical Therapy RequiredAdditional Information:Bilingual (Preferred)Licenses and Certifications:Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) (Required) ANDPhysical Therapy Assistant (PTA) (Required) ORPhysical Therapy Assistant - TEMP (PTA-TEMP) (Required)Physical Requirements: (Please click the link below to view work requirements) Physical Requirements - Range: $21.77 - $40.48Background Screening Requirement (Florida Law)Certain positions are subject to Florida Level 2 background screening, including fingerprinting, as required by state law.Applicants may review general information about Florida's background screening requirements at the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse: facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
