Physical Therapist Assistant - Per Diem - DaysUnder the direct supervision of the Staff Physical Therapist, the Physical Therapy Assistant is responsible for administering physical therapy modalities of treatment.Core Job Responsibilities:Responsible for providing treatment as directed by the staff Physical TherapistObserve and evaluate treatment effect, discusses observations with staffAssess patient pain interfering with optimal level of function or participation in rehabilitationPerform components of an appropriate assessment on all patientsAssists with formulation of a teaching planCoordinates and assists with patient care to ensure patient's needs are metMaintains records pertinent to personnel and operation of the department and accurately reflects condition/status of the patientKeeps patient schedule board or book currentPerform other duties as requiredEducation/Experience Requirements:Graduate of an accredited college of physical therapist assistant programPossess a certification from the State of New YorkLicensure/Certification Requirements:Disclaimer: Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to their age, race, religion, national origin, ethnicity, gender (including pregnancy, childbirth, et al), sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, protected veteran status, or disability.
