Job TitleLocation: Bloomington, IN Job Type: Full-time Multiple openings per shift: 1st, 2nd, or 3rdJob DescriptionThis will be a full-time, direct placement position. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our healthcare team. As a PTA, you will work under the supervision of licensed Physical Therapists to help patients regain movement and manage pain after injuries, surgeries, or illnesses. Your role will involve implementing treatment plans, providing patient education, and documenting progress to support optimal outcomes.Responsibilities:Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients, including exercises, manual therapy, and other therapeutic interventions.Observe patients during treatments and report any unusual reactions or changes in condition to the physical therapist.Educate patients on exercises, proper techniques, and lifestyle changes to promote wellness and prevent further injuries.Document patient progress and update treatment plans as directed by the supervising therapist.Ensure a clean, safe, and organized treatment environment for patients.Collaborate with the physical therapy team and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.Requirements:Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.Active Indiana State licenseBasic Life Support (BLS) certification required.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.Physical stamina to assist with lifting, moving, and supporting patients as needed.Preferred Qualifications:Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in physical therapy.Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.Benefits:Competitive salary with potential for bonuses.Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance.Paid time off and holiday pay.Opportunities for professional growth and development.Non-Discrimination Statement: AVD Workforce Connect is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
