The ideal candidate is detail oriented, self-driven, and friendly. This person will assist the Physical Therapist to implement physician-ordered rehabilitative therapies for mobility, transferring, strength and activity tolerance, pain control and range of motion according to the Plan of Care (POC).Duties And ResponsibilitiesProvide direct physical therapy according to directions of physical therapist and in accordance with the physician's plan of careTreat patients to relieve pain, develop or restore function, and maintain maximum performanceDirect and aid patients in active and passive therapeutic exercises, muscle reeducation, gait and functional training, transfer activities and prosthetic trainingUtilize physical agents, including, but not be limited to heat, cold, water, light, electricity, ultrasound and massageObserve and report to the physical therapist and the Organization personnel the patient's reaction to treatment and any changes in patient's conditionInstruct patients in care and use of wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes, and prosthetic or orthotic devicesJob RequirementsActive CA PTA licenseMinimum of two (2) years of patient care experience; preferable in the home health settingDemonstrate good verbal and written communication, and organization skillsPossess and maintain current CPR certification.Licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state or organization requirements and is in good working orderCome join our awesome home health and hospice team.
