Job description
Make an impact by supporting students' physical health and growth as a Physical Therapist Assistant! A contract opportunity is available for an energetic, compassionate PTA who's eager to work with children and young adults in a vibrant educational setting. You'll have the chance to collaborate closely with an experienced district Physical Therapist, providing meaningful services at various schools across the district.
Key Qualifications:
Current Tennessee licensure or eligibility as a Physical Therapist Assistant
Confidence traveling between multiple school sites throughout the district
Prior experience in pediatric or school-based settings is a plus, but not a requirement
Excellent communication skills and a teamwork mindset
Well-organized and able to handle flexible caseloads
Reliable transportation to manage travel needs
Responsibilities: Deliver physical therapy interventions under the supervision of a licensed PT
Promote students' improved mobility and independence within educational environments
Assist in implementing and tracking individualized treatment plans and therapy objectives
Maintain detailed and accurate records of student progress per district guidelines
Engage collaboratively with therapists, educators, special education teams, and families
Contribute to meetings and IEP processes as necessary
Provide support across various locations as the district requires
