n nResponsibilities
nnnAssisting the Physcial Therapist in the implementation of treatment intervention
n
nnAdminister therapeutic exercises and activities to improve patients; strength, mobility and function.
n
nnProviding training to individuals and any others involved in their rehabilitation, and documenting results of the training
n
nnMaintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
n
nnSupporting individuals' plan of treatment by documenting and reporting status changes to the multi-disciplinary team members as appropriate
n
nnOther duties as assigned
n
n nQualifications
nnnDegree from an accredited physical therapy assistant training program
n
nnCurrent Physical Therapist Assistant certification in state of practice.
n
nnCurrent Live CPR Certification
n
nnTwo-step TB skin test required
n
nnProof of Auto Insurance
n
nnKnowledge of evidence based therapy interventions
n
nnFamiliarity with assisted living, independent living, geriatrics and/or home health
n
nnOne year preferred
n
nnNew grads encouraged to apply
n
nnAbility to lift 50 pounds
n
nnMoving, lifting, or transferring of patients which may involve lifting of up to 100 pounds following safety procedures
n
nnDuties require fine motor skills,visual acuity, and walking/ standing for extended periods
n
nnAdditional physical requirements include: pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, reaching, kneeling, and positioning frequently at times
n
nnA health screen or examination may be required prior to assignment and periodically thereafter, depending on specific location policy, local and state regulations to verify employee is physically capable of performing assigned duties with or without reasonable accommodations
