nRehab Without Walls is seeking an experiencedPhysical Therapy Assistant (PTA)to join our innovativeHome & Community Neurorehabilitation Programin Walnut Creek, CA.
nThis is a **W2 PRN position—not 1099—**offering stability, support, and flexibility while allowing you to deliver meaningful, real-world rehabilitation.
nOur model bringsoutpatient-quality care directly to the client, supporting independence and reintegration where life actually happens.
nWho We’re Looking For:
nnnAn experiencedPTAseeking a primary therapist assistant role fromfirst treatment through discharge.
n
nnInterested in a caseload of approximately15–20 hours per week across 3 days, with consistency and continuity of care.
n
nnPassionate aboutfunctional rehabilitation in real-life environments, such as homes and community settings.
n
nnReady to move beyond staged therapy and support clients as they:

nnSafelypick up and manage their own prescriptions
n
nnReturn to driving
n
nnTransitionback to work
n
nnParticipate inyoga, light hiking, and other meaningful activities
n

nResponsibilities
nnnProvides physical therapy services planned, delegated and supervised by the qualified Physical Therapist in accordance with the patient’s Plan of Treatment
n
nnConfers with Physical Therapist regularly regarding patient’s plan of treatment, status of progress toward goals, questions and concerns
n
nnAssists with cleaning and maintenance of equipment, treatment and department areas
n
nnReports any problems with department equipment to the appropriate personnel to ensure that it is maintained in good working order
n
nnCommunicates patient’s needs and progress to the Physical Therapist of record and assists in securing special adaptive equipment for patient to improve function. Incorporates the use of adaptive equipment to enhance the rehabilitation program
n
nnMaintains and submits patient treatment and billing documentation in the format and timelines required by the Company, facility, funding source, local, state and federal regulations
n
nnAdheres to standards of the Company's Code of Conduct, policies, Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act, Corporate Compliance programs and appropriate professional practice standards and applicable state/federal laws
n
nnAttends, participates in and/or conducts internal staff development programs and meetings; obtains continuing education as required by company policy and regulations; maintains and enhances clinical practice skills
n
n nQualifications
nnnCurrent unrestricted license as a Physical Therapist Assistant by state in which practicing
n
nnCurrent Basic Life Support or cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification, in accordance state regulations
n
nnA minimum of one year’s work experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant preferred
n
nnDemonstrates knowledge of rehabilitation techniques related to complex neurological injury
n
nnCommunicates effectively and professionally in verbal and written interactions
n
nnDemonstrates strong organization skills and attention to detail
n
