In the role of Physical Therapist Assistant you will:Provide care to patients with neuromuscular, orthopedic and other physically-related disorders requiring strengthening, modalities, manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education and training in activities in daily living under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist.Utilize rehab process to promote and restore optimal health and well-being of the patient.Participate in professional responsibilities, including documentation, program development, teaching, and enhancement of clinical skills.Job RequirementsIn addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:Previous work experience providing direct patient care in outpatient, inpatient or inpatient rehab unit, preferredAbility to perform basic treatments of orthopedic, neurological and medical patientsPrior use of electronic medical records (EMR), preferredAssociates Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant programCurrent Colorado Physical Therapist Assistant licensureCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart AssociationPhysical Requirements: Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)We are interested in candidates with outpatient physical therapy experience OR a strong exercise background (e.g., personal trainer, exercise physiology student, athletic trainer student).Ability to work 20 hours/week, 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. with some flexibility on days.With more than 700 care sites across the U.S. from clinics and hospitals to home-based care and virtual care services CommonSpirit is accessible to nearly one out of every four U.S. residents.
