nAs a Physical Therapist Assistant , you’ll contribute to our success in the following ways:
nnnProvide physical therapy services according to the treatment plan established by the Physical Therapist.
n
nnHelp patients work toward therapy goals that improve mobility, function, and independence.
n
nnMonitor patient progress and promptly report changes in condition or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
n
nnEducate patients and caregivers on home therapy programs and techniques to support continued progress.
n
nnTeach patients and families how to safely use assistive devices, including canes, walkers, wheelchairs, prosthetics, and orthotics.
n
nnDeliver safe, high-quality therapy services in accordance with physician orders, clinical standards, and state practice guidelines
n
n nWhat is Required?
nnnCurrent, unrestricted PTA license valid for the state of work
n
nnGraduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program approved by the American Therapy Association
n
nn6+ months experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant is preferred
n
nnAbility to frequently lift, push, pull, and support up to 50 pounds, including positioning or transferring patients and moving equipment
n
nnMust possess a valid driver's license, maintain an acceptable driving record, OR have reliable transportation to travel between patient homes and assigned work locations
n
