Job description
Role: Physical Therapist Assistants
Department: Rehab
Contract Type: As and On Need Basis
Shift: weekdays, weekends on normal pay and holidays on 1.5 times of base pay.
s per NJ Civil Service Job Specifications:
Under supervision of a physical therapist, administers varied types of physical therapy treatments to residents to restore function, prevent disability, and help them reach maximum performance. Knowledge of standards, theory, principles, methods, and commonly used equipment of physical therapy, therapeutic exercises, and functional training.
bility to carry out prescribed physical therapy with skill in muscle reeducation, corrective exercise, gait training, coordination.
bility to observe accurately reactions and progress or lack of progress of residents and to record same appropriately.
bility to prepare reports, write progress notes, and to maintain other records and files.
NOTE: Must possess a current, valid license as a Physical Therapist Assistant issued by the NJ Board of Physical Therapy,
Nursing Staff must work every other weekend.
