Job description
We are hiring in Carmel, NY! Join us at Easterseals NY- Carmel for an exciting career as a Part- Time Physical Therapist.
nThis is a 10 month position
nWhat You'll Do
nAs a Physical Therapist you will provide physical therapy services to students of the preschool program under the guidance of the Program Director. You will work as a member of the team (family, staff and other service providers) to provide quality support and services for children and their families while working with families in planning and implementing supports and services to children and their families.
nYour Responsibilities Will Include:
nnnParticipate in team evaluations to determine developmental status and initial or ongoing eligibility.
n
nnDevelop IFSP's and IEP's with other team members.
n
nnWork jointly with families in planning and implementing supports and services to children and their families within natural settings.
n
nnMaintain professional standards, and current skills in therapy techniques.
n
nnProvide physical therapy services for children.
n
nnWrite progress notes on time schedule addressing the child's strengths, needs and progress.
n
nnComplete daily associated duties including treatment notes and attendance records.
n
nnComplete record keeping as required by licensing/certifying agency.
n
nnAid in maintaining equipment and workspace.
n
nnSupervise assigned students in specialty area.

n nYou're a great fit for this role if you have:
nnnMasters Degree from a physical therapy school approved by the American Physical Therapy Association and the American Medical Association
n
nnCurrent license by the Board of Registration in Medicine in the State of New York.
n
nnThree years experience working with young children as a physical therapist preferred.
n
n nCompensation
nn$65-80/hr.
