nPerform PT evaluation and diagnose movement dysfunction; use interventions to promote the ability to move, reduce pain, restore function and prevent disability.
nPRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
nnPerforms patient assessment, treatment, discharge planning and collaboration with other health care providers.
nDocuments patient care and billing information timely and in accordance with department standards.
nCommunicates with co-workers, and other professionals, including physicians and nurses as needed to ensure optimal patient care.
nFunctions as a team member in care of patients and in mentoring with other staff.
nDelegates aspects of patient care to support staff per PT/PTA MI Licensure Administrative Rules providing necessary communication and supervision.
nMaintains clinical productivity standards.
nMaintains technical clinical expertise through ongoing clinical education.
nParticipates in in-services, staff meetings, quality activities and aspects of program development.
nMaintains awareness of patient safety issues within the clinic and in the use of equipment. Assists in the maintenance of patient care equipment as needed.
nMaintains patient confidentiality according to HFHS HIPAA policies.
nMaintains adherence to all applicable Federal/State law/regulations, APTA standards of practice, MI Licensure requirements, the HFHS Integrity/ Compliance Program, Code of Conduct, as well as all other HFHS policies and procedures.
nIf requested, represents HFHS at community and professional functions.
nParticipates in student education programs
nMay have other duties assigned as needed.
n nnQualifications:
Qualifications
n** EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: **
nnPhysical Therapist bachelor degree with 5 years of experience OR Master’s/Doctorate degree acquired from a Commission on Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) accredited program
n nCERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
nnCurrent State of Michigan licensure. Will consider those who will be licensed within 30 days of applying.
nCurrent CPR certification (or obtain within 90 days of hire)
