nQUALIFICATIONS
nnnMaster’s Degree in Physical Therapy
n
nnLicensed as a Physical Therapist in Florida
n
nnBLS certification through AHA or American Red Cross
n
nnComfortable with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows
n
nnAble to work independently with general supervision
n
nnStrong leadership, delegation, teamwork, and time management skills
n
nnCommitment to ethical practice and patient-centered care
n

n nJOB RESPONSIBILITIES
nnnPerform initial evaluations and re-evaluations of patients
n
nnAssess patient strengths, weaknesses, and pain
n
nnDevelop and implement individualized plans of care with patient input
n
nnSelect, monitor, and modify equipment, procedures, and diagnostic methods
n
nnSet measurable, objective therapeutic goals and update them as needed
n
nnTreat patients of all ages and cultures using appropriate interventions
n
nnUtilize growth and development knowledge in patient care
n
nnMake appropriate referrals and use available resources effectively
n
nnMaintain competency in all common clinical procedures and equipment
n
nnPursue development in specialty areas such as aquatics, lymphedema, manual therapy, Mckenzie, neurologic (NDT), orthopedic, sports, wound, vestibular, sensory integration, or FCEs
n
nnFollow ethical practices established by the Florida Board of Examiners
n
nnDelegate patient care appropriately to team members
n
nnProvide teaching and guidance to patients, families, and healthcare team members
n
nnCommunicate patient progress and needs in a professional and timely manner
n
nnMaintain timely, complete, and accurate documentation
n
nnPerform chart audits and ensure legible medical record entries
n
nnReport and complete all patient care information needed for follow-up
n
n nBackground Screening Requirement (Florida):
