Position Overview
A healthcare facility in northern New Mexico is seeking a Physical Therapist to join a collaborative and experienced rehabilitation team. This role offers a high level of professional autonomy with a supportive environment focused on patient-centered care.
The position primarily focuses on orthopedic cases with a mix of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities. The schedule is predominantly Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays. There are no night shifts or on-call requirements.
Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and ongoing assessments
Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals
Implement therapy programs to improve mobility, reduce pain, and restore function
Utilize standard physical therapy techniques and therapeutic equipment
Supervise and guide physical therapy assistants, students, and support staff
Fit and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices as needed
Monitor patient progress and update care plans accordingly
Maintain accurate and timely documentation
Required Qualifications Active Physical Therapist license in New Mexico
Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire
Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Physical Therapy or related field
Experience in orthopedic, inpatient, and outpatient settings
Key Skills Required Patient assessment and care planning
Orthopedic rehabilitation techniques
Team collaboration and supervision
Clinical documentation and compliance
Communication and patient education
