n nJob Responsibilities for a Physical Therapist:

nnnProvide pediatric therapy services and/or evaluations to children aged birth – 21 years in a natural setting.

n

nnEducate families and caregivers on applicable intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over.

n

nnWork in diverse settings such as client homes, daycare homes/centers, preschools, clinics, and other community settings.

n

nnFollow the unique therapy plan established for a family/child, plan for ongoing treatment and address identified goals while documenting progress.

n

nnPrepare progress reports as indicated.

n

nnMaintain child records and confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA, state and federal regulations). Required records must be submitted within the established timelines.

n nRequirements for a Physical Therapist:

nnnMust have a passion for working with children and families!

n

nnNYS Licensed Physical Therapist

n

nn1-2 years of experience working with children birth–5 is preferred but not necessary.

n

nnMust be self-motivated and a team player who exercises patience and professionalism.

n

nnFluency in a language other than English is a plus!

n

n nPhysical Requirements:

nnnMust be able to travel to and from assigned cases, including but not limited to:

n

nnDriving a personal vehicle, walking and/or the use of public transportation such as a bus or train.

n

nnThe ability to ascend and descend staircases.

n

nnThe ability to lift 10 pounds regularly.

n

nnThe ability to sit on the floor, kneel and/or crawl for extended periods of time.

n

n nStarting Rate: Evaluations $128.00 - $175.00 / hourly $66.00-$120.00Compensation is determined based on experience and education and will be discussed during the Physical Therapist Job interview process.
