nSummary:
nThe physical therapist provides evidence-based direct and indirect physical therapy services to all patients referred to the department, promoting excellence with the delivery of care. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

nRequired Job Qualifications:
n• Basic computer skills.
n• Clinical Practice
n• Meets all state regulatory requirements
n• Graduate of CAPTE accredited physical therapy program.
nPreferred Job Qualifications:
n• Maintains Illinois License, with supporting minimum of 20CEUs /year.
nResponsibilities:
nnnExecutes a thorough patient evaluation, obtaining and interpreting data necessary to support a physical therapy diagnosis.
n
nnProvides an evidenced base plan of care for treatment, including functional goals and methods to achieve said goals.
n
nnAdapts treatment environment, tools, equipment, and activities according to the needs of the individual.
n
nnMonitors the individual's response to treatment interventions and modifies treatment and plan as indicated.
n
nnTerminates patient services when maximum benefit or goals have been achieved
n
nnMonitors own performance and identify supervisory needs.
n
nnMaintains treatment area, equipment, and supply inventory as required.
n
nnDocuments completely per Epic standards using point of care method.
n
nnFollowing standards established for each clinical area.
n
nnDemonstrates effective teaching and communication skills, especially as related for patient and family education.
n
nnDemonstrates ability to use Epic for timely and accurate patient billing.
n
nnStrives to meet all benchmarking standards for hours worked/units billed.
n
nnParticipates in all quality improvement projects.
n
nnIdentifies and pursues own professional growth and development.
n
nnParticipates in available professional and community activities.
n
nnSupports and demonstrates a team approach with other disciplines.
n
nnFunctions according to the APTA guidelines, the Illinois Physical Therapy Practice Act and standards of the profession.
n
