nDescription:
nA physical therapist is responsible for the evaluation, comprehensive treatment planning and implementation of treatment for patients with medical, surgical, neurological, cardiopulmonary or functional disorders.
nSchedule: per diem/pool
nNew grads with acute care experience or clinical affiliation exposure encouraged to apply.
nnnProvides supervision for Physical Therapy Assistants, PMR technicians, students and volunteers as required.
n
nnMaintains safe/orderly working environment for patients and staff.
n
nnAdheres to the code of ethics of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Practice Act of the Commonwealth of PA.
n
nnDevelops a comprehensive plan of care and provides treatment with appropriate and effective techniques to achieve established goals with an emphasis on functional status
n
nnAssumes accountability for managing the delivery of patient care.
n
nnInterprets and utilizes clinical data in the treatment plan.
n
nnPrioritizes and organizes work assignment and adjust priorities based on changing situations.
n
nnConsistently assesses and modifies approach, communication, care, activities, etc. to reflect the needs of patient based on age, cultural diversity and developmental level.
n
nnActs as a patient advocate and uphold patients' rights.
n
nnParticipates in program development activities, as assigned, and under the direction of the Lead/ Manager.
n
nnPerforms as a Clinical instructor when necessary.
n
nnConfers with physicians/team members regarding change in the treatment plan as needed.
n
nnCollaborates with patient/significant others when establishing goals and treatment plan.
n
nnParticipates in the orientation and training of other healthcare team members
n
nnIncorporates education into daily patient activity, and individualizes educational plan based on patient's needs.
n
nnParticipates in continuing education to stay abreast of new research and to fulfill credentialing requirement.
n
nnOther duties as assigned.
n
n nQualifications :
nnnCurrent State PT license, Basic Life Support (BLS) and Bachelor's Degree required
n
nnWheelchair seating recommendation experience a plus
