Job description
Physical Therapist (PT) Acute Care Hospital
Day shift, Monday through Friday, with a requirement to work a minimum of three weekend shifts every six weeks (Saturday or Sunday).
Assignment Details
Position requires independent work experience. Guaranteed hours are based on two-week pay periods, with the facility able to call off once in that timeframe.
Requirements
California license required (may submit with license pending with proof of submission).
ACLS, BCLS, and NIH certifications required.
Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience required; first-time travelers accepted if they have acute care and trauma experience.
Must be comfortable working independently in a trauma-level II facility with stroke certification.
Travelers may float between like units as needed.
Submit requests for time off (RTO) at the time of submission.
Responsibilities
Provide physical therapy to patients in the acute care setting.
Evaluate patient conditions, develop treatment plans, and document progress.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
Ensure compliance with clinical standards and procedures.
Educate patients and families on therapeutic exercises and recovery protocols.
