AMN Healthcare is partnering with a Leesburg, Florida school district to hire a qualified Physical Therapist (PT) to work with one of the top districts in the area, providing services to children of all ages. Generally, the PT will conduct assessments, build and execute effective treatment plans, and educate students to reduce pain, improve movement, and restore function.Responsibilities for this role include: &bull
tPartner with the district as a member of a collaborative team to help students restore and maintain their physical functions.&bull
tScreen and evaluate students referred to Physical Therapy treatment. &bull
tAppropriately collect data, report findings.&bull
tDiagnose movement dysfunction and create personalized treatment plans to help patients reduce pain, improve movement, and restore function.&bull
tProvide evidence-based direct and consultative therapy services as required.&bull
tMaintain accurate documentation and billing per district and state standards. &bull
tParticipate on a collaborative team and maintain clear communication with teachers, district staff, and families regarding student treatment. Required Qualifications
Physical Therapist, School Florida License School Experience Graduate from an accredited Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program Pass the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE) Active Physical Therapy (PT) license in Florida Clear, articulate communication skills Ability to explain results to a varied audience Candidates with previous school experience a plus! Completion of a criminal record and background check
