Job description
Sports Physical Therapist
KIME Performance Physical Therapy is looking for a Sports Physical Therapist in the Greater Sacramento Region, including Folsom, Roseville, and Granite Bay. The base salary is $75,000–$100,000, with total compensation up to $150,000+. We built KIME for clinicians who want more from their work, more from their career, and more from themselves.
If you care deeply about the quality of your care, find energy in learning and growth, and want to be part of a team that invests in each other, this was designed for you. You don't need to have everything figured out. You just need to show up with curiosity, a commitment to doing the work well, and a belief that your best days as a clinician are still ahead of you.
A Place Where You Belong
At KIME, your success is the goal — professionally, financially, and personally. That commitment shapes everything we build, every decision we make, and every clinician we invest in. Wherever you are in your career, what you'll find here is a place designed around your growth:
A team that sees you. Not just your productivity. Not just your caseload. You — your goals, your strengths, your career arc. Every clinician at KIME has a personalized development plan built with them, not handed to them.
A team that trusts you. Autonomy with accountability. Flexible scheduling within a 4 or 5-day work week. Defined expectations so you always know where you stand. As your competence grows, so does your independence.
A team that grows with you. Through KIMEU — our internal education ecosystem — you'll move from foundational skill to leadership impact, with structured mentorship, weekly case reviews, and a fellowship pathway baked into your career, not bolted on as an afterthought.
Who We Are
KIME Performance PT is a high-performance sports physical therapy organization with locations across the Greater Sacramento Region. Our mission is to inspire hope by optimizing human performance for a better life and a healthier world. We believe every human is an athlete in their own life — and we treat them that way. Our clinical philosophy: diagnose deeply, treat intentionally. Our vision is bold: upgrade 100,000 lives by 2030. We're looking for clinicians who want to be part of that story.
What You'll Do
Deliver high-quality, evidence-based physical therapy to a diverse and active patient population
Perform comprehensive evaluations and design individualized, goal-driven plans of care
Integrate rehabilitation and performance principles to support patients' long-term success
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, performance coaches, and medical professionals
Progress through KIMEU — from foundational skill to KIME-Certified High Performance Sports Medicine Specialist
Contribute to a culture grounded in integrity, performance, and community
Growth With Intention
At KIME, education is embedded in your career — not something you have to chase on your own time and your own dime.
KIMEU Phase Progression: A four-phase structured development platform — live education, applied practice, and mentorship — that takes you from Evaluation & Retention foundations all the way through HPSM Fellowship and Leadership Development. Skill becomes mastery. Mastery becomes influence. Foundations Mentorship & Weekly Case Reviews: From day one, you're supported — not thrown in the deep end. Structured mentorship means you have real guidance as you build your caseload and your confidence. Personalized Development Plan: Built with you, not for you. Your IDP reflects your goals, your strengths, and the clinician you want to become.
Compensation Built Around Your Impact
Most physical therapy compensation models are static — your salary is your salary, regardless of the impact you create. KIME is built differently.
Your base salary is competitive and transparent, ranging from $75,000 to $100,000 depending on your experience level. But that's just the foundation.
On top of your base, KIME offers an uncapped Gainshare program — performance-based income tied directly to the community impact you create. We walk through exactly how it works during the interview process, because it's unlike anything else in this industry. Our top earners reach $155,000+ annually.
Built for the Long Game
We invest in your health, your financial future, and your time outside the clinic — because we want you here for the long haul, not just until something better comes along.
Medical coverage (PPO or HMO options through Aetna and Kaiser)
Dental and vision
HSA/FSA — KIME contributes $50/month to HSA if HDHP plan is selected
Complimentary life insurance and long-term disability
401(k) with employer match
Child care assistance (children ages 0–5)
PSLF eligibility
10 vacation days year one, growing to 15 (PT II) and 20 (PT III) · 5 sick days · 7 paid holidays
Loan support and employee discount program
Who Thrives Here
You don't need a specific number of years behind you. What we've found is that the clinicians who flourish at KIME share a few things in common:
They care deeply about the quality of their work — not just completing it
They're curious and coachable — always looking to get better, always open to feedback
They take ownership of outcomes, not just sessions
They want to be part of something bigger than their individual caseload
They believe excellent patient care and a fulfilling career aren't in conflict — they reinforce each other
