Job description
Step into an impactful contract role serving students as a Physical Therapist in a school-based setting near Cordova, TN. Your specialized skills will directly support students' physical development, mobility, and participation in daily school activities.
Key Qualifications:
Active state licensure as a Physical Therapist
Previous experience in pediatric or school-based settings preferred
Strong understanding of IEPs and best practices for school PT services
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and educational teams
Ability to organize caseloads, manage time effectively, and document services appropriately
Primary Responsibilities: Evaluate and assess students' physical therapy needs as part of the IEP team
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals
Deliver direct and consultative physical therapy services to students in school environments
Collaborate with teachers, families, and additional school staff to support student success
Maintain accurate and timely documentation according to school and legal requirements
Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
