Job description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity for the school year supporting students' growth and mobility needs in a vibrant educational setting near Greenwood, IN. This position is perfect for a physical therapist seeking a flexible schedule while making a lasting impact on K-12 students. Working just three days per week, you'll be instrumental in providing therapeutic services to a caseload of approximately 25 students.
Qualifications and Skills:
Current licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) in Indiana
Previous experience providing PT services in school settings strongly preferred
Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation for K-12 students
Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with teachers, administrators, and families
Ability to adapt interventions to meet diverse student needs and ages
Strong organizational skills to manage a dynamic caseload
Responsibilities: Deliver physical therapy assessments and interventions for students from kindergarten through 12th grade
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs and educational goals
Document therapy sessions and progress in accordance with district and state requirements
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support students' academic and functional achievements
Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for accessible learning environments
Educate staff and caregivers on techniques to encourage mobility and independence
