Job description
Take your expertise as a Physical Therapist and make a difference in the lives of students for the 2026/27 school year! An established school setting near the Hopewell, VA area seeks a dedicated part-time professional for an onsite role. You'll collaborate with school teams and empower students by providing tailored therapy that supports their physical development and participation in the educational environment. This position is for the upcoming academic year and will offer a rewarding opportunity to replace a virtual PT and deliver hands-on care.
Key Qualifications:
Active Physical Therapist licensure in the state of Virginia
Experience with school-based therapy or pediatric populations preferred
Strong knowledge of IEPs, assessments, and documentation requirements
Ability to develop and implement effective treatment plans
Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset
Reliable transportation for onsite work
Responsibilities: Provide direct physical therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals
Complete accurate and timely documentation and progress reports
Collaborate with educators and other team members to integrate therapy goals into classroom settings
Participate in IEP meetings as required, supporting families and staff
Adapt equipment and modify environments to maximize student success in school activities
Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations for school-based services
