Job description
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity providing vital Physical Therapy services to students across Pre-K through 12th grade. This role is based near Lehigh Acres, FL, and involves working on-site between multiple school campuses during the academic year, from August 11, 2026, to May 27, 2027. The position is full-time, with up to 37.5 hours per week, allowing you to immerse yourself in diverse school settings and make a significant impact.
Key Qualifications and Requirements:
Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy
Active Physical Therapist license issued by the Florida Department of Health
Experience or genuine interest in serving school-aged populations, from Pre-K to high school
Ability to travel between multiple school sites as assigned (itinerant schedule)
Must complete fingerprinting for credentialing; knowledge of AHCA Clearinghouse procedures is a plus
JLA badge transfer or application may be required depending on previous school district employment within Florida
Responsibilities: Provide direct physical therapy services to students of various ages and abilities
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with educators and other school professionals
Document therapy sessions, monitor progress, and report outcomes to support student success
Adapt interventions for diverse educational settings and varying caseloads
Communicate effectively with staff, students, and families to ensure coordinated care
