Job description
Make a meaningful impact supporting students by working as an onsite school Physical Therapist for the academic year. In this contract opportunity, you'll use your PT expertise in a collaborative setting and experience the rewarding environment of helping students succeed. This assignment covers one day per week onsite, perfect for professionals seeking flexibility alongside their clinical skills.
Qualifications:
Active Massachusetts PT license required
(Preferred) Additional Massachusetts education certifications or willingness to obtain as needed
Previous experience in school-based or pediatric physical therapy settings is beneficial
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Commitment to providing compassionate, student-centered care
Ability to adapt interventions to various student needs and IEP requirements
Responsibilities: Deliver physical therapy services in accordance with students' Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
Assess, plan, and implement treatment strategies to support students' physical development and participation in school activities
Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to integrate therapy goals with classroom objectives
Document evaluations, progress, and treatment outcomes clearly and accurately
Participate in IEP meetings and provide professional recommendations for services and accommodations
Travel to the site in Andover, MA for onsite service delivery, one day each week
