Job description
Embark on a contract opportunity as a Physical Therapist supporting students in a school-based setting near Olympia, WA. This role focuses on fostering student growth and facilitating their access to education through specialized physical therapy services. You'll engage with a supportive team, utilize evidence-based practices, and make a meaningful impact in your field.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Physical Therapy license in Washington (or eligibility to obtain)
Strong background in school-based or pediatric physical therapy
Ability to develop and implement individualized therapy plans
Skilled in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and families
Excellent communication, organization, and documentation abilities
Experience creating IEP goals and participating in IEP meetings preferred
Primary Responsibilities: Conduct assessments to determine students' motor needs and functional abilities
Develop and deliver physical therapy interventions tailored to each student
Monitor and document student progress, adjusting plans as needed
Collaborate with teachers and administrators to support student success
Educate school staff and families on strategies for improving mobility and participation
Maintain accurate records in compliance with regulatory requirements
