Job description
Make a meaningful impact supporting students as a school-based Physical Therapist on a contract assignment near Philadelphia, PA. This opportunity offers the chance to work with a dedicated school-age population, providing expert therapeutic services to help students reach their full potential in an educational setting.
In this role, you'll be working 3-4 days per week, primarily supporting a caseload in a low incidence classroom at a specialized education center. You'll collaborate with educators and support staff, deliver individualized physical therapy interventions, and contribute to a positive, inclusive school environment.
Key Qualifications & Background:
Active Physical Therapist (PT) license in Pennsylvania
Experience working in a school setting is highly valued
Familiarity with IEP process and school documentation requirements
Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for school-aged children with various needs
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to consult with teachers, families, and other therapists
Compassionate, patient-centered approach
Primary Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive assessments and create targeted therapy interventions
Deliver direct therapy services to a school-age low-incidence population
Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and state guidelines
Participate in IEP meetings, collaborating on individualized education plans
Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support student independence and access to the curriculum
