Job description

Qualifications & Experience:
Valid Physical Therapy license for New York State
Previous experience working in school settings or with school-aged children preferred
Strong understanding of IEPs and IDEA requirements
Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and school staff
Creative problem-solver with excellent organizational skills
Comfortable adapting treatment plans to meet diverse student needs
Responsibilities: Provide targeted physical therapy services for students ages Pre-K through 12th grade as identified through IEPs
Assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans to address gross motor, functional mobility, and adaptive skills
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to support student progress in the classroom
Document interventions, progress notes, and related compliance paperwork in a timely manner
Participate in IEP meetings, professional development sessions, and school activities as appropriate
Contribute to the overall well-being and confidence of every student served
