This role includes preparing treatment areas, transporting patients, maintaining equipment, and providing administrative assistance. The Aide works under the direct supervision of licensed physical therapy staff and contributes to a safe and positive environment for patients and staff.Essential FunctionsPrepares and maintains treatment areas and equipment before and after therapy sessions.Assists with patient transport to and from therapy areas as needed.Supports patients with non-clinical needs during treatment sessions under direct supervision.Cleans and organizes therapy equipment and ensures supplies are stocked.Performs basic clerical duties, including data entry, scheduling assistance, and filing.Observes and reports any safety or maintenance concerns to the appropriate staff.Demonstrates professionalism and courtesy in interactions with patients, families, and staff.Complies with all hospital safety, infection control, and confidentiality policies.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/ExpectationsUnderstanding of basic body mechanics and safe patient handling practices.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively within a team.Dependable, punctual, and committed to providing support in a fast-paced environment.QualificationsEducationHigh School Diploma or Equivalent including education equivalent to completion of secondary school or demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the role. (Preferred)Licenses/CertificationsBCLS - Basic Life Support Facility-Specified Upon HireExperiencePrior Experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting (Preferred) AndPrior Experience that demonstrates strong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively (Required)
