Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)Reports To: Physical Therapy Site CoordinatorWe offer a competitive benefits package designed to support the well-being and growth of our team members. Hourly rate will be reviewed and determined based on each candidate's experience and qualifications.This full time position is located in our North Easton, MA location.General Summary Of Duties:Under the direction and supervision of Physical Therapists, the PTA treat patients through exercise, massage, gait and balance training and other therapeutic interventions. The PTA records patients' progress and report the results of each treatment to the Physical Therapist.Essential Job Functions:Observe patients before, during and after therapy, noting the patient's status and reporting it to the Physical TherapistHelp patients do specific exercises as part of the plan of careTreat patients, using a variety of techniques, such as massage and stretchingUse devices and equipment, such as walkers, to help patientsEducate patients and family members about what to do after treatmentAdditional duties as assigned by the Manager to meet department needsRequirements:A graduate of an APTA accredited school of physical therapyValid Physical Therapy Assistant State of MA and RI licensePrevious experience in outpatient orthopedics/musculoskeletal rehab preferredExcellent communication skillsAbility to maintain confidentialityAttention to detailMust be able to travel to all sites if/when necessary.
