Physical Therapy AssistantHarrison County Hospital is seeking to hire a Physical Therapy Assistant. This per diem role supports the rehab team by delivering treatments aligned to the plan of care and helping patients, families, and caregivers understand goals and progress. Key responsibilities include implementing prescribed interventions and standard therapy modalities, monitoring and communicating patient response, completing timely EHR documentation, addressing patient/family education needs, and supporting departmental workflow and patient care assignments.Required qualifications and skills:Associate Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant programCurrent Indiana PTA license and NPTE certificationKnowledge of growth and development across age groupsEHR/computer documentation proficiencyStrong time management, multitasking, communication, and problem-solving skillsTact, diplomacy, and self-motivationApply today to be considered for PRN coverage Monday through Saturday, as needed.A Typical ShiftYour day begins by reviewing the schedule and prior notes in the EHR, then coordinating with therapists and nursing to confirm timing and any precautions. Between patient visits, you document clearly, adjust priorities as add-on needs arise, and communicate progress updates to the care team. You’ll switch comfortably between age groups and settings, keeping interactions calm and respectful. As the shift closes, you ensure documentation is complete, equipment and spaces are ready for the next day, and any follow-up items are handed off appropriately.
