Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)At Country Meadows, our therapy teams help residents move with confidence, independence, and purpose. Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) play an essential role in delivering resident-centered physical therapy services that support rehabilitation, functional independence, and quality of life. Under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, the PTA works collaboratively with residents, families, caregivers, and the interdisciplinary care team to implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with Pennsylvania licensure requirements, professional standards, and organizational policies.Current Opportunities:Per diem for weekend coverage and weekday coveragePhysical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Responsibilities:Implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist and in accordance with established plans of careProvide therapeutic interventions including therapeutic exercise, functional and mobility training, gait training, manual therapy as directed, and application of physical agent and mechanical modalitiesObserve patient responses to treatment and communicate progress, tolerance, and concerns to the supervising Physical TherapistAssist the Physical Therapist during evaluations, testing, and complex procedures as directedInstruct patients, families, and caregivers in safe mobility techniques and therapeutic activities under supervisionOrganize and facilitate individual and group treatment activities in collaboration with the Physical TherapistParticipate in patient care conferences, rehabilitation meetings, and interdisciplinary collaborationEnsure adherence to patient schedules, departmental expectations, and rehabilitation service standardsMaintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory, payer, and organizational requirementsSupport a safe care environment by identifying and reporting safety concerns and equipment needsDeliver care in a respectful, compassionate, and resident-centered manner that recognizes individual needs and rightsPhysical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Minimum Qualifications:Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant programCurrent licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the Commonwealth of PennsylvaniaKnowledge of physical therapy treatment techniques appropriate to the PTA scope of practiceAbility to implement treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Physical TherapistAbility to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary care teamMust be able to communicate the English language effectively both orally and in writing, and comprehend the sameOur investment in you:Above standard industry pay and comprehensive benefits including Highmark Blue Shield and employer-matching 401(k)Length of service bonusGenerous paid time off, including holidays, your birthday and a Personal Day of Meaning and the opportunity to roll over unused timeSupplemental life insurance, company-paid short-term disability and supplemental short- and long-term disability plansOur support for you:Family-owned, private company based in Hershey, Pa.Direct access to your supervisory teamIncentivized career paths and tuition reimbursementOn-the-job training and continuing educationEmployee assistance program for you and your familyCo-worker Foundation (grants for in time of need)Helping Hand interest-free loansAbout Country Meadows:We have over 2500 co-workers who are serving our residents with meaning, thriving with purpose and leading our company with innovation!
