Job description
Physical Therapist AssistantPhysical Therapist Assistant works with a rehabilitation team to deliver physical therapy treatments, improve patient mobility, and support recovery. The role supports patients in achieving independence and functional goals under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist.Key Responsibilities:Deliver physical therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical TherapistAssist patients in improving strength, mobility, balance, coordination, and functional independenceImplement individualized treatment plans designed by the supervising Physical TherapistMonitor patient progress and communicate outcomes to the therapy teamAccurately document patient care, progress notes, and treatment activitiesEducate patients and family members regarding treatment plans, exercises, and injury prevention techniquesCollaborate with physicians, therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient careMaintain compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and professional standardsQualifications:Associate Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant programCurrent Utah Physical Therapist Assistant license or eligibility to obtain licensureCurrent CPR/BLS certificationStrong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skillsAbility to work effectively in a collaborative healthcare environmentPreferred Skills:Previous clinical experienceExperience in outpatient, inpatient rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or orthopedic settingsStrong patient-centered care approachAbility to adapt to a variety of patient populations and treatment plansExcellent time-management and documentation skills
