Matheny is a special hospital for children and adults with medically complex developmental disabilities. Our fully-accredited non-profit private school combines traditional academics with therapeutic intervention and pre-vocational skill development. Our Adult Services Program includes five licensed community residences/group homes and two adult learning centers. Matheny's Arts Access program empowers individuals with disabilities to create art without boundaries. Through the use of innovative communication systems, the artists have complete freedom to explore a world that is defined only by their unlimited creativity and unique self-expression.

Duties of this position include:

Conducts accurate and thorough client/student examinations in the hospital or education environment using departmental format.

Identifies Physical Therapy Diagnosis and Prognosis to direct appropriate plan of care for each client/student.

Implements effective Procedural (Direct) Interventions for each client/student based on the results of the assessment process.

Provides coordination, communication and documentation to support the client/students functional outcome(s) and program needs.

Performs client/student related instruction to support the client/students functional outcome(s) and program needs.

Provides consultative services within the organization and/or to outside agencies regarding environmental and/or service provision issues.

Participates in educational programs intended to enhance the knowledge, skills and competencies of others.

Performs transdisciplinary roles to optimize client/students carryover of functional outcome(s) and program needs.

Participates in department duties and responsibilities necessary to provide effective and efficient services.

Participates in training and studies to enhance knowledge base in the specialty practice of Pediatrics and Developmental Disabilities.

The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future. When determining a team member's base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).

The salary range for this position is $79,059.00 - $95,762.00 annually.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited college or university required.

Minimum of 3 years clinical experience required.

Licensure/Certifications:

New Jersey Physical Therapy License required.

FULL-TIME/PART-TIME Full-Time
