nOurLicensed Physical Therapist Assistantfor our VNA Certified division is responsible for provision of appropriate, timely and accurate treatments and/or screens of patients, for demonstrating consistency in clinical judgement and behavior, and for effectively communicating with both the Physical Therapist and office staff.

nWhat You'll Do
nnnProvide physical therapy services as prescribed by the physician under the direction of a licensed physical therapist
n
nnFollow policies and procedures and conforms to all applicable patient care standards, licensure regulations and state laws
n
nnCarries out appropriate techniques according to identified goals and treatment programs.
n
nnAdministers care to ensure safety for the patient
n
nnParticipate in coordination of services (including discharge planning), with health care teams, physicians, parent/guardians, nurses, and appropriate others.
n
nnShares knowledge with others and facilitates learning experiences which result in improved performance of targeted learner groups
n
nnDocuments according to policy and procedure and requires minimal supervision or instruction
n
nnDocuments effectively resulting in no technical or clinical denials subsequent to review of documentation by payers
n
nnUpdate self on the patient's clinical condition
n
nnMaintain effective communication between Physical therapist, staff, health care team members, and family
n
nnRecords hours worked, billable time and other required data according to Company policy
n
nnServes as a resource consultant for physical therapist and clinical staff
n
n nQualifications
nnnDegree from accredited physical therapy assistant program
n
nnCurrent, unrestricted state license as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of practice
n
nnCurrent CPR certification (with hands-on component) or able to obtain one
n
nnCurrent TB test or able to obtain one
n
nnMust have a drivers license and reliable transportation
n

nRequirements
nQualifications
nnnMust have and maintain an active, unencumbered license (PTA) in the state in which the clinician will practice
n
nnCompact licenses must be transferred to your state of residence within 90 days
n
nnCurrent CPR certification (with hands-on component)
n
nnTB skin test (current within last 12 months)
n
nnSix months prior hands-on experience preferred but not required
n
nnMust have reliable transportation
n
