Physical Therapist AssistantThe Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) delivers care under the direction of a Physical Therapist, following established treatment plans using evidence-based strategies. The PTA collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality care, optimal outcomes, and patient satisfaction.ResponsibilitiesDeliver high-quality physical therapy care to optimize clinical outcomesPrioritize patient care and manage assigned caseload efficientlyProvide direct patient care under the supervision of a Physical TherapistAdminister and advance treatment programs according to goals defined by the Physical Therapist and patient tolerance, consistent with physician ordersEducate patients on exercises, treatment protocols, and injury preventionDocument patient condition, treatments, and progress accurately and timelyProvide ongoing updates to the supervising Physical Therapist regarding patient progress and statusCollaborate with the Physical Therapist to adjust treatment plans as neededAdminister various physical therapy modalities and interventions as directed by the Physical TherapistCharacteristicsStrong multitasking and organizational skillsTeam-oriented and collaborativeMaintains tact and professionalism with diverse patient injuriesCommunicates compassionately and effectively with patientsDemonstrates excellent judgment and problem-solving abilitiesQualificationsGraduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant programCurrent state license as a Registered Physical Therapist AssistantCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationExperience in outpatient orthopedics preferredExcellent verbal and written communication skillsKnowledge of injury treatment, rehabilitation, and preventionAbility to lift up to 50 poundsAbility to push, pull, carry, and lift equipment necessary for patient carePhysical RequirementsSitting: OccasionallyStanding: FrequentlyWalking: FrequentlyCarrying/Lifting: Frequently (up to 50 pounds)Stooping/Kneeling: FrequentlyOther: N/A
