Job description
Physical Therapy AssistantWe are seeking a highly motivated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our team at Landmark Hospital of Columbia LLC, MO. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting our Physical Therapists in providing high-quality rehabilitation services to our patients. Your primary goal will be to help our patients regain their physical strength and mobility and improve their overall quality of life. You will work closely with our team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for each patient and monitor their progress throughout their rehabilitation journey. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong commitment to patient care and a passion for helping others.Shift requirements: PRN / FlexibleMinimum Qualifications:Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant programValid Physical Therapy Assistant license in the state of MissouriExperience working in an outpatient settingKnowledge of Universal Precautions and Voluntary Insurance ProgramsAbility to lift and carry heavy weightsExcellent eye-hand coordinationPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant programExperience working with a diverse patient populationBilingual in English and SpanishResponsibilities:Assist Physical Therapists in providing rehabilitation services to patientsDevelop and implement individualized treatment plans for each patientMonitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as neededMaintain accurate and up-to-date patient recordsCommunicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionalsSkills:As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will use your knowledge of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation to assist our Physical Therapists in providing high-quality care to our patients. You will need to have excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. You will also need to have strong organizational skills to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for each patient, and monitor their progress throughout their rehabilitation journey. In addition, you will need to have the physical ability to lift and carry heavy weights, and excellent eye-hand coordination to perform various therapeutic exercises. Finally, you will need to have a strong sense of compassion and a passion for helping others, as this is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a deep commitment to patient care.
