Join Our Dynamic Team as a Physical Therapist!
Job Description:
- Contract Type: PT-Physical Therapy
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: 10 AM - 6 PM
Facility Overview:
- Environment: 378-bed hospital
- Service Lines: Orthopedic/Elective Joints, Neurology, Vascular, General Medical/Surgical
- Team Size: 27 Physical Therapists, 19 Occupational Therapists, 5 Speech Therapists
Patient Care:
- Ratios:
- Acute Care: Target of 8 patients per day
- ARU/Rehab Unit: Target of 4 patients per day
Equipment Utilized:
- DMEs (Durable Medical Equipment)
- Exercise Equipment
Technology:
- EMR System: Meditech
Candidate Profile:
- Must Have:
- Flexibility to changing schedules
- Willingness to work weekends
- Fast learner, receptive to training
- Preferred (Nice to Have):
- Experience in Acute Care and ARU
- Familiarity with Meditech
Typical Procedures:
- Conduct therapy evaluation and treatment
- Screen patients for appropriate therapy services
- Provide discharge recommendations
Ideal Personality Traits:
- Positive attitude, can "roll with the punches"
- Open to changes and able to adapt quickly
Certification Requirements:
- Up-to-date Texas therapy license
Floating Areas:
- Adult Acute Care and/or Rehab Unit
Dress Code:
- Olive green scrub tops
- Black scrub pants
Unit Guidelines/Policies:
- Adhere to HIPAA, TJC, and hospital safety guidelines and policies
- Follow therapy care protocols per APTA/AOTA guidelines
