Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) EngineerRaytheon Vision Systems (RVS) is growing! We have an immediate opportunity for a talented Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) Engineer with Magnetron Sputter tool experience to join our 3D Integration and Imaging Sensors group - a world leader in Advanced Packaging and Materials Research and Development. We offer the opportunity for non-stop learning where the rewards of succeeding in this role make RVS a compelling place to grow your career.What You Will Do:Supporting fabrication operations by providing technical expertise in PVD processes for the 200mm product lineMagnetron Sputter deposition techniquesExperience with metal and dielectric thin filmsTaking ownership and responsibility for maintaining/optimizing all Deposition tools (4 tools and growth)New Tool/Process Development by researching new suppliers/technologies for improving production, quality, and throughput – drive selection / install / qualification of deposition platformsMaintaining current processes, optimizing existing processes, and training in safe / efficient operations of the deposition process cellMaintain statistical process controls process optimization; troubleshoot and resolve issues supporting the manufacturing process and improve process yieldsIn-Fab Collaboration required by working with a team of technicians and engineers in an ISO-Class 5 wafer fabrication clean roomWork with R&D teams to develop creative solutions / approaches for new devices designs and advanced packaging architecturesQualifications You Must Have:Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experienceExperience in thin film deposition techniques and/or Magnetron sputteringQualifications We Prefer:Experience with sustaining existing deposition processes to meet product specifications & manufacturing process flows, maintaining operating instructions for process and equipmentDeep knowledge of vacuum systems including trouble shootingDemonstrated ability of solving technical problems, project ownership, meeting deadlines, and multitaskingThorough sense of process / tool ownership, drive, and dedication to continuous improvementExperience showing ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to improve processesExcellent verbal/written communication skills, including technical writing for summarizing data and findings, writing process and equipment specifications and work instructionsDetail-oriented with excellent organizational skillsWhat We Offer:Our values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world.
