JOB OVERVIEW Job Id: Profession: Physician Specialty: Cardiac Anesthesia Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Marshfield, WI Service Setting: Inpatient Coverage Type: Clinical + Call Coverage Period: Dec 1, 2026 Ongoing Shift Schedule: 7a 5p 1-2 weeks/month Call Schedule: Nights & Weekends Nights; 5p-7a Weekends; 7a-7a Call Type: Beeper Call Response Time: 20 minutes Callback Rate: 10-20 Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: CoveredCOVERAGE DATES Orientation: Dec 1 or 2 Dec 3-4, 7-13, 20-24, 26-31PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Adult Average Daily Volume: 5-8 % of Practice: 80% Structural Cases, 20% Pump Cases 80% Solo Cases Case Mix: Cardiac, Complete Ortho, Complex Vascular, Head Spine, Neuro, OB, Regional, Thoracic FACILITY INFORMATION Trauma Level: II No. of ORs: 16 EMR System: CernerPRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Temporary Privileges Available: YesREQUIRED PROCEDURES Required General, Spinal, Epidural Anesthesia Regional Anesthesia Surgery OB & Neuro Cases Open Heart Anesthesia Thoracic cases Complex vascular & orthopedic cases Post-op epidural & extremity blocks Ventilation management Evaluation and management of acute volume/BP issues C-Line, A-Line & PA Catheter placement JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC Licenses: WI License or willing to obtain Certifications: BLS, ACLS, TEE 30-40 TEEs within the past year Clean RecordDuties & Responsibilities Provide cardiac anesthesia coverage for 80% structural cases and 20% pump cases Place arterial and central lines, and administer regional blocks Cover general anesthesia cases when cardiac cases are not available Participate in scheduled on-call coverage (beeper call) as needed
