Are you a Cardiac Anesthesiologist searching for your next permanent placement opportunity? This position with one of VISTA's healthcare partners in Lafayette, LA might be the perfect fit for you!
Opportunity Highlights
Schedule: 3 FTE model with a 2 on 1 off rotation; 17 weeks off per year
Job Setting: Hospital - Level II Trauma Center
Types of Cases: Open Heart / Cardiac Anesthesia (500+ cardiac cases per year)
Thoracic cases (including robot-assisted)
Complex Vascular
Complete Orthopedic
Regional Anesthesia
Structural Heart (Watchmen, PFO closures, MitraClip)
CRNA Supervision (90% supervision model, occasionally performing own cases)
General Anesthesia (Adult)
Spine
Start Date: November 1, 2026
Additional Highlights: Structural heart program with continued training and educational support
Internal moonlighting available to supplement base salary

Minimum Requirements
Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified required
Certifications: Fellowship or recent extensive cardiac surgical experience capable of covering all cases (except LVAD and Transplant)
Perioperative echo certification with strong echo capability; able to assist with surgical decisions for valve surgeries
Echo experience or extensive structural heart case experience (Watchmen, PFO closures, MitraClip)
